I love my job

I'll admit, this job can be oh so challenging at times, more so than any I've ever had.  I've always said motherhood is all about the highs and the lows and yes those lows can be a dousy sometimes.  But lately I've been LOVING every sacred moment with my little guys.  I LOVE this age.  I love how their minds work, how they process everything.  How they hear things.  And, let's be honest the mobility of their ages is so wonderful!  I honestly find myself looking forward to each day and what conversation may arise from them.

While walking to our car there was a man standing nearby smoking.  Once in the car Levi informed me of the following.

Levi: Mom is that guy going to go to the mall and to die?
Me: Huh?
Levi: Mom don choo know all the people...eberybody that smokes they go to the mall and die?
Me: What?
Levi: Mom!  There are lotza dead people at the mall who smoked.
Me: Oh....um, ok...who told you that?
Levi: Mom, they are!
Me: ok

Levi: So um Mommy, why did Mary and Josefes get married?

Me: oh, well they loved each other buddy.

Levi: An um, Josefes thought Mary was rearry preddy?

Me: Yes, yes he did. Joseph thought Mary was beautiful.

We've been singing lots of fun Christmas songs this holiday season...

You know, like...

'frosty the snowman had a corndog hat and a buddon nose...'  or 'jingle bells....bells on diamond rings'....or 'alise naughty not!' :)

I just LOVE this time of year.  Both boys seemed to fully grasp the real meaning of Christmas and most definately entertain the idea of Santa.  I love Christmas *sigh*

Blog Bogged

I must get back to this blog business.  I will get back to this blog business.  2011, I vow to spend more time here and less on facebook.
That said, the last six months have been a whirlwind of milestones and memories...

This guy, my favorite four eyes started pre-school.....yes I cried ALL the way home.  More or less because he just walked right in.  Without a care.  He dug right in and embraced his darling little class.  I'm not sure he would have given me a second thought had I not requested a hug and kiss goodbye.

This guy, my favorite mini Mr. (Josh) turned THREE.  This kid never stops, keeps me on my toes, always tells me he loves me...out of no where and completely un provoked.  He's funny, really funny, smart, an easy learner and did I mention he never stops moving. Oh how I love him.  He often tells me "I don wan take a nap, ok Mom?"  No such luck, after all I'm the boss and he DOES need a nap almost everyday.

Yours truly made this Nemo cake, with the help of the crazy talented Amy Cheng.  Crazy right?  I didn't think I had it in me.

My first born turned FIVE.  What?!  Five.  I honestly don't know how or why time happens so quickly.  Levi is over the moon.  I am devastated.  My sweet, thoughtful, funny and wise five year old.  Well...maybe not so sweet when he told me I wasn't pretty for not allowing a second lollipop after lunch one day.  Oh how I love him.

I created a monster.  Levi would not go for any ole cake after the Nemo masterpiece.  I'll be honest I REALLY surprised myself with this one.  Levi said I was the most awesomest Mom ever!  To infinity and beyond!!!

We had snow.  Before Thanksgiving and on Thanksgiving.  The Mr. was busy, like record breaking busy.  Poor guy was a zombie on Thanksgiving.  In fact I'm not sure he even remembers being there.  :)  We are making the best of it though.  Who doesn't love to go sledding until your lips are so numb you can barely articulate words?  We. Love. Snow.
