Take me out to the ball game...

Josh scored some SWEET, private suite tickets to the M's game against the White Sox through his work. The experience was nothing short of pure awesomeness! :)
FREE reserved parking, free food & drinks...free Ichiro jersey for Levi. Did I mention everything was FREE??
The game was an exciting 14...FOURTEEN innings. Levi must have stood there for a good hour just taking in the field when we first arrived. Then he realized there were peanuts to be opened...not eaten (by him at least) but surely opened ALL night long. By 11pm, the top of the 14th Josh, was done. We got in the car and turned on the radio, JUST as they had put Griffey in as a pinch-hitter....to WIN the game! Of course Josh will never hear the end of it, none the less we all had a great time!

Mr. Wilson Jr.

Levi is carrying on a convo with the neighbor kids through the fence as I type...(okay so I got sidetracked from when I first started this post)

Levi: NO, I AM A BOY...my name is WEVI!!! Do you have a doggy? My dog is Tia, cuz her have fur. You know her? I have a bigger bike...and a rocket ship. *Breath* Well I was scared of spiders. I was walking and there was a spider right here (showing the kid that CAN'T see him where on his leg). I can sing ABC's...

*Long Pause*

Levi: Are you still there?

Kid: Yeah

Levi: Hewwo? HEWWO!!!

Levi: Wanna come swing and swide in my yard?

Well at least he thought he was having a conversation, someone might have been talking too much! :)

Potty Talk

I was roped into teaching a three year old class at VBC this Summer at OCC. Sure I can handle that. Needless to say I took comatose naps with the boys daily.
The theme the TREK - the story of Joseph. The three year old version - Joseph was the favorite of 12 brothers. Joseph's Dad liked him the best and gave him a cool coat, which made his brothers very jealous. To make things worse Joseph had dreams that his brothers would one day bow down to him. His brothers hated him for that and threw him in a pit, then sold him into slavery. His father was devastated. Joseph worked for a man named Potipher. His wife told lies about Joseph and got him thrown in jail. There Joseph was well liked for his ability to understand dreams. All the dreams came true and Pharoh made Joseph ruler of the land. Joseph's brothers came to him in time of need, although they did not know it was their brother at the time. Even though his brother were so terrible to him, Joseph was quick to help them. Even though they did not deserve it, Joseph still loved them - just as God will never leave us and always loves us.

Each day we would tell another portion of this story to our three year olds. I went back and forth on weather I should use the word Potipher. Well I did and I had a room full of giggling three year olds. Levi wasn't in my class, but I asked him the next morning about what he was learning. This is how our conversation went:

Me: Hey buddy, so what else have you learned about Joseph?
Levi: I already told you Mom...
Me: I know, but did you learn about what Potipher did to Joseph?
Levi: WHAT!? (Almost seething)
Me: You know Potipher?
Levi: MOMMY, WE DON'T TALK LIKE THAT - THAT'S RUDE!
Me: Oh, ok. :)
