Levi's little friend Carter has a tailored "kids" dress white Naval uniform. It's been passed down since 1955 in their family. We couldn't resist dressing Levi up, what do you think Uncle Dave & Uncle Michael - is he ready to hit the deck? :)

I will never forget my favorite Amy Grant concert YEARS ago - Heart in Motion. I could barely contain myself as we all waited anxiously for Amy to take the stage. The lights were dim, with a faint red hue and the sound of a beating heart...and then there she was, Amy Grant bouncing her way onto stage in her black velvet leopard blazer singing Baby Baby. Just remembering it all makes me excited, she was the ultimate cool in my book. For years my sister and I would dance around the house singing our little hearts out to Amy's tunes. Sheesh, we totally sounded like her!

You can imagine how thrilled I was when I along with a few other friends had the opportunity to see Amy Grant's 20 year reunion Lead Me On concert. We also got the opportunity to meet Amy (notice first name basis :) with our all access back stage passes. She looks almost exactly the same and she rocks the same awesome 80's dance moves. She was so sweet, we all had such a blast - Thanks Marisa!!!

...Every heartbeat bears your name, loud and proud I stake my claim....sing it with me girls! :)

Who's the BOSS???

So, as of late getting Levi to stay in bed for naps and nightime has gone from the easiest task to well, not. (Suprise!)
He likes me to snuggle with him now and rub his back to sleep. Usually within 10 minutes or so he's sound a sleep and often times I nap right along with him. Perfect.
However the other night he clearly had too long of a nap and was having a hard time falling asleep. It was 10PM by then, he kept tossing and turning all the while his eyes were saucers just staring at me when I would open my eyes. Tracing my eyelashes with his precious fingers when they were closed. Whispering over and over, "love you Momma, love you...kiss?" Ah, melt me! Then he popped his head up and here's how our conversation went...

Levi: "Momma, I rub you back"

Me: "ok"

Levi: "Lift up your head" (He needed to put his special blanket under my head) "K, Momma roll over."

Me: "ok"

Levi: "Momma close your eyes" While leaning over me to check my eyes are indeed shut!

Me: "ok"

Levi: "Momma, I be right back" After scratching the same spot over and over on my back...

Me: "ok"

Levi: He starts to leave the room then turns on his heels and point with his little pointer finger to my forehead. "Momma STOP crying!" turns to leave and then turns back around "Momma, DON'T get out of bed!" Then whispers "I play my trains."

Me: Burst into laughter

This kid doesn't miss a beat...wonder where he heard all that before??? :)

Greyson took his first solo step the week of his birthday last month and he hasn't slowed down since. This is all new to me, as Levi didn't walk until 15 months. For the most part Levi didn't/hasn't done even close to half of the things Greyson has. As I've mentioned in the past Levi is my cautious, thoughtful son (for the most part - see previous post) Greyson on the other hand is full of wonder. Cords, eletrical outlets...any crummy, nasty fuzziness he may find will go right in his mouth. I've found him with literally a mouth full of Tia's food, while Tia sat patiently wondering when this kid would be done so she could eat her dinner. Crayons and chalk are a favorite and flip flops were his delight a few months ago. The all time low was about a month ago, both boys were outside and Levi started giggling. As most Mom's know there are different levels of giggles, this one was prime evil. I turn around to see Greyson lifting Tia's poop to his mouth from Levi's encouraging. My body couldn't move fast enough...I don't believe he actually ingested any fully. But does it matter?? Clearly they had been 'playing' in it prior to that...

Punkins

We had a blast at the pumpkin patches this week. The boys loved it, the sun was shining & Greyson is walking....(sigh) life is good!
The expression on both their faces cracks me up...they were both keeping a close eye on a little yippy dog. Levi is threatening the dog not to come any closer with his scowl and Greyson is thinking 'you don't scare me, I could care less who you think you are!'
As I was insanely taking picture, after picture of the boys another Mom offered to take one of us as a family...I was impressed, thank you whoever you are!

1. My name is Sadie, NOT short for Mercedes. Named after my great grandmother on my Mom's side and apparently an old actress...Sada?? I really did NOT like my name growing up - it seems all dogs or horses are named Sadie. Nice. I've grown to love it though.


2. I'm slightly obsessed with waxing.


3. While in Italy on a missions trip I was proposed to by 'the man of the piazza' aka some rich guy that owned the park we were performing in??


4. I love Michael Bolton...totally kidding, Josh just begged me to say that! Seriosuly though, I love 50 cent "You can find me in da club" and yes country...hey I'm from Sequim!


5. I'm bourderline anemic and as a child passed out ALL the time!


6. As a child I had an inconceiveable unicorn collection, as in had it on display at the Clallum County Fair...oh yeah!


7. NO one looked better than me in white BONGO jeans in the 10th grade. Seriously, Josh will tell you to this day that's what realed him in! :)
