hot dawg
Sadie, blog...blog Sadie...it's been awhile...Tee Off Against Trafficking is weeks away (yay) got a big girl job and well my other BIG/most important job, being a Mom all keep me super busy...lots to share. First things first I have to share my latest less than guilty pleasure. I'm obsessed with Dave's Killer Bread. People. It. Is. Killer. As is the best bread I've EVER had (sorry Mom your home made bread back in the day was delish, but...) This bread is seriously rockin and the BEST part? It's packed with so much good for you (for real) organic goodies you will be shocked at the delicious taste. Not only that, but my kids LOVE it. I'm sold. Besides Dave served 15 years in prison before creating Dave's Killer Bread. Fascinating huh? Check out his story...
Today I was introduced to Dave's Sin Dawg. Without a doubt delicious. I would even venture to say the best cinnamon roll I've ever had. EVER. Granted it's not an actual roll, but Cinnabon's got nothing on this dawg. Try it people, tell me I'm wrong. Costco carries Dave's now...RUN!

{December 09} in pictures
December flew by with lots of fun....
Snowflake Lane with Greg & Kara...
My Mom started a new tradition this year, we all stayed downtown in a hotel and took in all the city had to offer at Christmastime. Some sites included the teddybear room at the old Four Seasons...giant gingerbread houses at The Sheraton...the Monorail (the kids loved this)...the carousal...brunch with santa at Ikon Grill, this was a huge hit the kids. They were able to get up and 'chat' with santa throughout brunch. And of course the train window at Macy's, Greyson was in awe of this. Tons of fun, tons of memories.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...
...everywhere we go...
This year the dreaded 'swiney' attacked a few short days before Thanksgiving, causing us all to hold off on being in close quarters until a couple days after. Instead we headed up to the mountains to cut down our Christmas tree on Thanksgiving day. There was tons of soft snow, which made the tree cutting task rather interesting. With each step, our feet would sink a good two feet into the snow. We still managed to come out with some lovely trees.
Love these pics of Mom & Greyson.
Yesterday morning Greyson woke up to find the little nativity set on the table...sleepy eyed he gasped "Look Mom, it's baby Jesus!" holding up the baby in a manger. Without missing a beat he busted out a rousing rendition of 'Jesus Loves Me'. Rather impressive at 7:39 in the morning. :)
Last Sunday while picking up Greyson from his Sunday school class the teacher informed me that during story time Greyson decided to {loudly} share his ABC's with everyone...so he might be a choir boy...Josh is thrilled! :)

A pinch to grow an inch??
I took Levi for his flu shot this morning (yes people I give my children the flu shot, althought NOT the swiney shot) Greyson had his last month at his well check. So off we went. Not sure how this would go over, I told him the Dr. would be giving him some medicine so we won't get sick. He asked why he had to take his arm out of his sleeve. I said, "well she needs to check that bruise on your arm and clean it" I know, I'm terrible. I opened the blinds so he could see out the window. Just as she about to do the 'deed' I ask him to tell me how many diggers he saw working in the lot over. He started to count "one...tw..owie, owie ooooowwwwiiieee...mommy, owie. A few tears and a cool new band aid, then that was it, not as bad as I thought actually. Naturally I softened the blow with a milkshake from McDonalds. But not a word about it all day. I mean ALL day. We played at grammies, then did some intense mud puddle spashing/jumping up at the school on the way home. I mean really it would be a shame to let those puddles go to waste after the heavens opened up today.
Striped down to nothing and a pile of muddy clothes in the back of my car Levi decided to unleash on the car ride home.
Levi: Mom...I jus said...I jus said, Mommy I jus said...when I say, I said when I say I don wan to go to the Dr. I mean I don wan to go to the Dr.! I jus don wan to! Boys don like the Dr. only babies! Okay?
Me: Okay (not sounding very convincing and trying not to laugh)
Levi: I said I do not have a owie, it's jus a broken arm....
Me: You have a broken arm?
Levi: No Mom, no I jus said I don like the Dr. AND I DON'T LIKE THE PINCH!!! Okay!?
Me: Okay (seriously giggling at the thought of him thinking he was mearly pinched by the Dr. today)
{Stayed tuned for some sure to be awesome puddle jumping shots from auntie Carlee}
